Namibian Police’s Lieutenant-General, Sebastian Ndeitunga is calling on the Government to consider imposing a mandatory quarantine to those who travel from Khomas and Erongo to other parts of the country. Ndeitunga further said that people must celebrate the Easter holidays where they are. Ndeidunga says that people with “urgent” matters are allowed to travel upon receiving a special travel permit from regional councils. “There are too many of us issuing the permits and thus makes our work difficult at the roadblocks,” said Ndeitunga. He says only those travelling for medical reasons, a limited number travelling for funerals and trucks that are delivering essential goods are allowed. He made the comments at the Rehoboth roadblock where he is accompanied by various service chiefs.
