Residents in Area 7 and Amilema informal settlement expressed agitation by the lack of water and sanitation. They say in the absence of proper ablution facilities, they are forced to use what they call “flying toilets”. They explained flying toilets as defecating in the plastic bag when nature calls especially at night. And throw away the loaded plastic bags in the nearest hills. Residents bemoan this practice as posing health risks when it rains or when the wind blows, the flying toilets find their way back to the residence. Students in the location say they are, however, ready to vote for a leader who will bring a library closer to them as well as internet connections. Housing and road infrastructure also feature high in the shopping list of voters.
