Addiction specialist Dr Lahja Hamunjela warns that traditionally brewed alcohol beverages can be as dangerous as bottled liquor and have the same or even more severe effects on social and human health. According to the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organisation – World Drink Trends 2003 Report, traditional brews represent the highest proportion of alcohol use in Namibia.
