The meeting of African heads of state and government has called on the electoral commission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to suspend the proclamation of final election results after stakeholders cast serious doubts about the outcome. The meeting also resolved to send a high-level delegation to the DRC for talks with all stakeholders. President Hage Geingob returned from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where leaders discussed the political situation in the DRC.
