The Facebook account of the Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry, Alpheus !Naruseb has reportedly been hacked. Permanent Secretary in that ministry, Percy Misika says the minister’s account has been hacked by an unscrupulous person claiming to be Alpheus !Naruseb. The hacker is believed responsible for information circulated on the minister’s Facebook account, offering loans to Africans via the European Union (EU) for the eradication of poverty in Africa. Misika stresses that Minister !Naruseb has nothing to do with this information. EU Secretary of Cooperate in Namibia, Sretrieka Geingos also confirmed that the information circulating on this social media platform is false and misleading. The ministry is thus cautioning members of the public to ignore this information.
