The low voter turnout during yesterday’s four by-elections should serve as a wake-up call to political parties not to take the electorate for granted and aggressively encourage voters to participate in elections. Political analysts who NBC News spoke to after the elections advised participating candidates or parties to use the upcoming Opuwo and Otjiwarongo constituency by-elections to sensitise voters for the 2020 Local Authority and Regional Council elections in November this year.
