Blue Crane birds in the Etosha National Park face extinction if effective conservation measures are not taken. The biggest population of Blue Crane birds in southern Africa is found in South Africa, and isolated smaller populations call Namibia’s Etosha National Park their home. The population of the birds at Etosha, stood at 130 by 1975, and went down to 30 birds by 2015. The population is currently estimated to stand at 23.
