Botswana’s head of public service and cabinet secretary Elias Mpedi Magosi is the new SADC Executive Secretary. Magosi, the Permanent Secretary in the office of Presidency, takes over from Tanzania’s Stergomena Lawrence Tax who served the secretariat for eight years.
