The Ministry of Environment and Tourism will soon introduce a total ban on the import and production of plastic bags containing calcium carbonate. The Environment and Tourism Ministry is further working on regulations to introduce a levy on all plastic items, while completely banning the import and production of all plastic carry bags in the country.
