The Namibia National Teacher Union (NANTU) has joined other stakeholder in criticising the new school curriculum, saying it is contributing to a higher number of dropouts. The sentiment was expressed by teachers who attended a stakeholder meeting in the capital.
The 2020 school calendar year has officially begun and schools in the capital’s informal settlements remain characterised by a high influx of learners. Schools visited by NBC News were still taking in new learners today, most of whom were referred by the Teachers Resource Centre.
