Landless Peoples Movement (LPM) candidate for Khomasdal Constituency, Mara Baumgartner says she will introduce solar electricity if elected. Speaking during the party’s consultative meeting with the residents of Khomasdal, Baumgartner believes solar energy is the answer to the electricity needs in the area.

Founding President Sam Nujoma welcomed the Government’s directives to reinstate dismissed and retrenched fishermen. The fishermen were retrenched after the former Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Bernhard Esau allegedly cut quota allocation of NAMSOV fishing company, for allegedly failing to set up a land-based factory.

Deputy Minister of Education, Arts and Culture Anna Nghipondoka said it is worrisome that the top 20 public school performers in the Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC) ordinary level examinations are constantly from the same regions and schools. Nghipondoka said during the announcement of the ordinary level results for 2019 in Windhoek.
