NUDO, NPF submit Presidential and National Assembly candidates lists to ECN

-Two more political parties, the National Unity Democratic Organisation (NUDO) and the National Patriotic Front (NPF), have submitted their lists of candidates to the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), for next month’s Presidential and National Assembly elections. ECN Chairperson Advocate Notemba Tjipueja and Chief Electoral Officer Theo Mujoro received the two submissions.

Otjozondjupa communal famers have called on the Government to allow them to harvest thorny and impenetrable bush so that they venture into charcoal businesses. Chairman Ramana Mutjavikua says the Forest Stewardship Council standard prevents farmers from harvesting their forestry. The council is an international organisation that promotes responsible management of the world’s forests.
