Supreme Court dismisses wrongful conviction suit against State agencies

The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal of a man who wants to sue several State agencies for his wrongful conviction. Deputy Chief Justice Petrus Damaseb says Pieter Visagie can sue Magistrate Elina Nandago, if it is found that she unfairly convicted and sentenced him.

Supreme Court dismisses former Judge Pio Teek’s case

The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal by the State against the discharge and acquittal of former Supreme Court Judge Pio Teek.
