Rubicon security services guards at Tsumeb have petitioned the Ministry of Labour to take action against their employer over alleged poor wages. They want the labour commissioner to force the company to implement the minimum wage for security guards.
The Namibian Tourism Board (NTB) refused to accept a petition issued by employees who staged a demonstration on Tuesday. Management accused the Namibia Public Worker’s Union (NAPWU) of negotiating in bad faith.
