Maize plantation at Etunda irrigation project suspended

The Green Scheme project plans to increase maize production at irrigation farms to counter the shortfall that may result from an outbreak of Fall Armyworms at Etunda. For now, maize production at the commercial side of the Etunda irrigation project has been suspended due to the prevalence of this pest.

Companies raise funds to build educational infrastructure in the Kunene

About 37 local companies, as well as some from South Africa took part in the seventh Langer Heinrich Uranium Golf Charity Tournament over the weekend at Swakopmund. The event raised about N$850 000 to be used towards educational infrastructure in the Kunene Region.
