Tourism Director Sem Shikongo has pleaded with Namibians to safeguard the unique bio-diversity found in the country. This, he says, will enable Namibia to maintain a vibrant economy, through tourism.

The Minister of Urban and Rural Development Sophia Shaningwa has ordered the suspension of erecting illegal structures at Groot-Aub settlement outside Windhoek. This follows the continuous illegal land sales as well as the increase of makeshift structures on plots serviced for other purposes, such as schools and clinics.

-Some Groot-Aub residents expressed outrage after Urban and Rural Development Minister, Sophia Shaningwa did not respond to some of their concerns during a meeting.
