President Geingob worried about decline in men obtaining tertiary qualifications

President Hage Geingob is worried about the declining number of men obtaining tertiary qualifications as was witnessed during the graduation ceremony of the Namibia University of Science and Technology. Out of the 922 students who graduated in management sciences, 616 were women, compared to only 302 men.

Namibia University of Science and Technology hosts 21st graduation ceremony

Seven-hundred and 68 students from the Namibia University of Science and Technology graduated in Windhoek today. Students received diplomas, bachelors and masters degrees in various faculties, including Natural Resources and Spatial Science, Human resources, Engineering, computing and informatics, Health and Applied Science and Human sciences.

UNAIDS optimistic it will achieve the United Nations 90/90% target by 2020

The United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS, UNAIDS is optimistic that if Namibia continues on the same path to reduce incidences of HIV-AIDS infections, it will achieve the United Nations 90/90 percent target by 2020. The target requires countries to achieve 90% mark in diagnosis, treatment and viral load suppression.

A former Namibian police officer sentenced to 25 years imprisonment

A former Namibian police officer has been sentenced to 25 years imprisonment. Namibia’s newly revised administrative map covers all 14 regions

The Ministry of Land Reform has launched the newly revised administrative map which covers the entire 14 regions of Namibia. The map was completed after a survey started in March 2014, and eventually ended in May last year, at a cost of N$3,9 million.
