Namibian students intending to study abroad are advised to apply for study permits at the embassies of the countries they want to study in, and not at the Ministry of Home Affairs. Many students continue to flock to the ministry’s offices – requesting for visas to study in foreign countries.
The Erongo Regional Traffic management unit says operations at its road blocks have improved drastically from previous years. Seven people died on the road over the festive period in the Erongo Region last year compared to two fatalities recorded this year, one in a residential area and the other in the dunes.
