National Council urged to ensure that bills referred to it are not discriminatory

The National Council should ensure that all bills referred to it are gender sensitive and not discriminatory towards any sex. Motivating the report on the 60th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, Veteran Affairs Deputy Minister Hilma Nicanor said government should support the fostering of gender responsive programmes.

According to the Association of Charismatic and Pentecostal Churches of Namibia, such actions are tarnishing the image of the church. The Izimwe-Nakabolelwa road is completed

The 21,8 kilometer long Izimwe/Nakabolelwa road in the floodplains of the Kabbe South Constituency of the Zambezi Region has been completed. Some of the villages which will now be easily accessible were previously difficult to reach and during the flood season, totally inaccessible by road.
