The Walvis Bay Municipality continues to be proactive during the state of emergency, currently distributing food parcels to residents at Kuisebmund and Narraville.

City Police officers have demolished a shack belonging to a family of six from the Kilimanjaro informal settlement in Tobias Hainyeko Constituency. The shack was destroyed, following the family’s attempts to extend it, due to prevailing social distancing protocol.

A multi-generational family staying at the Ongombo East private farm, 50 kilometres east of Windhoek, have been without proper water for the past five years after the owner allegedly cut off their supply. The family say their parents worked for the farm owners for years and received the plot they live on as compensation.

The Khomas Regional Commander Commissioner, Joseph Shikongo has called on service personnel manning roadblocks to give the best service possible to the public and consider them as their clients.
