District hospitals across the country recorded a number of newborn babies on New Year’s Day. Seventeen babies were delivered at the Katutura State Hospital in Windhoek of which eleven were boys and six girls.
Kuku Maria Mateus, also known as Mwinika gwa Ngula, a centenarian has passed on. Kuku Mwinika gwa Ngula was 102 years old and died at the Onandjokwe State Hospital after a short illness on 28 December.
