The United States President’s Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) has announced that it will increase its funding for HIV programmes of over N$1,1 billion for the year 2020. US Ambassador to Namibia Lisa Johnson said since the inception of PEPFAR, the US government invested nearly N$17 billion in HIV programmes in Namibia.

Air Namibia has suspended the Windhoek-Lagos-Accra route as from Friday. The national airline’s manager for Corporate Communications Paul Nakawa said the decision to suspend the route for an indefinite period is to mitigate the related safety, non-compliance and commercial risks.
