The Topnaar Traditional Authority leader, Kaptein Seth Kooitjie has died. Kooitjie died Friday morning at Walvis Bay. The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Peya Mushelenga confirmed Kooitjie’s death to NBC News. Kooitjie has been the Topnaar Kaptein since 1998, and the chairperson of the Nama Traditional Authorities Association.
