SWAPO Secretary General Sophia Shaningwa has dismissed media reports that the party is bankrupt. Shaningwa told the media in Windhoek that the allegations came after the party held its congress at the former textile complex, Ramatex, instead of the usual venue, Safari Hotel.
The SWAPO party says it’s still united, dispelling talk of disunity. The party’s Secretary General Sophia Shaningwa says the participation of more than 700 delegates at the recent extraordinary congress is a clear testimony that all is well in the party.
