The Kunene Governor’s project ‘Our Children, Our Responsibility’ has begun to empty store rooms of broken chairs and desks to make them useful again. Marius Sheya initiated the project after seeing that most learners in his region are without proper chairs and either sit on the floor or on stones during lessons.

There is a need to develop mechanisms to guard against the misuse of statistics in Namibia. The 42nd Administrative Council Conference of the Africa Regional Intellectual Property Organisation (ARIPO) has started in Windhoek. The five day conference will deliberate on ways that African knowledge can be used to develop the economies of countries in the sub-region.
