NBC employees are demanding for the immediate implementation of salary increments, for the 2017/2018 financial year. They are demanding that the increase be backdated as from 1 April 2017.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services is in the process of recruiting unemployed graduate nurses amidst financial constraints. Deputy Minister Juliet Kavetuna, speaking in the National Assembly, said this is to ensure that government’s money invested in the training of health workers does not go to waste.
