President Hage Geingob has arrived in Beijing, China, on a seven-day State visit aimed at strengthening trade between the two countries. Geingob is expected to meet his counterpart, Xi Jinping later this evening. The president is accompanied by First Lady Monica Geingos, several Cabinet ministers and local business personalities.

Public and private companies have been urged to provide apprenticeship programmes to give work experience to new vocational training graduates. Apprenticeship programmes will give hands-on skills for trainees and prepare them to take up employment in both the private and public sector.
