The Swapo Party Women’s Council (SPWC ) launched its five-year strategic plan during their first Central Committee meeting currently underway in Windhoek . The plan which runs from 2015 until 2022, outlines guidelines on the attainment of 34 strategic objectives, SPWC Congress resolutions and SPWC programmes.

The Citizen Satisfaction Survey has rated the Namibian Police at 54% which is relatively poor according to the standard of rating used. The survey was conducted by the Office of the Prime Minister in conjunction with the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). The aim was determining citizens’ views on public service delivery.

The Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Bernhardt Esau, has reminded civil servants to always strive towards effective and efficient service delivery. Esau was addressing his staff members in Windhoek.

Access to contraceptives is an essential part of child health care that can help reduce maternal and infant mortality as well as the high incidents of teenage pregnancies in Namibia. It is in this context that the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) donated contraceptives worth N$7 million, to the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
