The Ministry of Public Enterprises has introduced rigorous measures for the approval of business plans, relating to public enterprises. Parties interested in joining the public sector therefore need to do their homework and prove their sustainability – before they can expect to get a green light.
The crime situation in the Ohangwena region is said to be manageable. However, the top five crimes of concern in the region are assault, theft, house breaking, rape and murder. Ohangwena region recorded a reduction in its 2015 crime rate compared to 20132014 but crime is expected to increase in 2016.
The road safety campaign has been strengthened with a donation of ten new hand-held breathalysers valued at more than N$87 000.
