Teachers in the Khomas Region are disappointed in the Labour Commissioner for allegedly allowing delaying tactics by government’s team to agree on the rules of the strike. Namibia will soon develop a migration policy for Namibians in the diaspora. The policy will complement the general national policy on migration. The Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration, Penduka Iivula-Ithana attended the United Nations round table on the root causes of large movements of refugees and presented Namibia’s status on migration.
The painful history of the migrant labour system of colonial times is on display at Walvis Bay. Residents, especially the youth are urged to visit the exhibition at the municipality hall to understand the impact of migrant labour system on Namibia’s emancipation.
