More than 470 Children of the Liberation Struggle have marched from the Ndilimani Farm about 30 kilometres outside Windhoek to the SWAPO Party Headquarters in the Katutura residential area. The march follows an eviction order by Conradie Damaseb Legal Practitioners that compelled the group to leave the Ndilimani Farm by no later than 12 O’clock on Wednesday. Nampa reports that the group demanded reasons for its eviction after being resettled at the farm last December. The letter called as deplorable, the group’s alleged behaviour of using the Kalahari Holdings’ plot to launch illegal activities and create a nuisance. The struggle kids allegedly further attacked their neighbours through looting, victimisation of other residents, blocking national roads, throwing stones at passers-by and being generally violent. Despite various interventions to stop the group of unemployed people from involving in illegal conduct, the struggle kids allegedly continued with their illegal activities. The law firm notified the struggle kids that the agreement to accommodate them on the property had been terminated with immediate effect. Efforts to get comment from the marching struggle kids proved futile.
