The residents of Sonder Water informal settlement at Okahandja are up in arms against a Chinese company ‘Sinotruk’, which they accuse of causing air pollution in the area. Sinotruk, at its plant, produces bricks and crushes stones and recently became involved in the melting and recycling of old car batteries. The company has been operating in Namibia for the past six years.
