The outbreak of COVID-19 is presenting the global tourism sector, which accounts for 10% of the world’s GDP, with major challenges. The World Travel and Tourism Council predicts job losses of about 50 million people in the travel and tourism industry. Namibia is not spared of the fallout from the virus.
