The desperation for property ownership is said to have led to a Keetmanshoop resident allegedly assaulting a pensioner with an intent to dispossess her property. Sixty-two-year-old pensioner, Hilda Finich alleges that her neighbour has been provoking her for years now in an attempt to lay civil claims against her and to sue her out of her house.
