About forty-eight temporary workers, who were dismissed by the Walvis Bay-based Erongo Marine Enterprises four years ago, will now be reinstated. This follows a settlement agreement facilitated by the office of the Labour Commissioner. The workers were dismissed in 2013 for refusing to do extra work by off-loading and reloading goods from trucks of another company. NAFAU was not happy with the dismissal and declared a dispute with the company through the Office of the Labour Commissioner, which has now granted default arbitration award in favour of the affected workers.
