The Minister of Education Arts and Culture, Katrina Hanse-Himarwa has described the state of some government schools as filthy and deplorable. Hanse-Himarwa paid surprise visits to some schools in the capital. Hanse Himarwa says as the ultimate authority at the ministry she deemed it fit to make what she termed “spot checks” to the schools.
