President Hage Geingob’s Eenhana Town Hall meeting in the Ohangwena Region kicked off this morning. In his welcoming remarks, the Chairperson of the Ohangwena Region Council Erickson Ndawanifa says Ohangwena is hard hit by severe drought. He says more than 38 000 households are affected by this year’s drought in the region. The eastern part of Ohangwena is overcrowded with livestock from other regions in search of grazing and this has resulted in a shortage of water. President Hage Geingob says transparency and accountability result in trust, hence the importance of consulting citizens to hear their challenges and respond to their queries.
