The counting of ballots for the election of a new bishop for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia (ELCRN) conducted in May this year started on Tuesday in Mariental. The ballots have been stored in Rehoboth since the election against the wishes of some congregants who wanted them to be counted immediately after the voting.
