The former Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Bernhardt Esau and Investec Asset Management Client Manager Ricardo Gustavo have been arrested. Inspector General of the Namibian Police Luitenant-General Sebastian Ndeitunga confirmed the arrest to NBC News. Ndeitunga says the duo will appear in court within 48 hours. Ndeitunga appealed to the public to give the investigation time to conclude in response to the question on the case of former Justice Minister Sacky Shanghala. Esau and Gustavo are some of the people implicated in the fishing quota scandal involving the two former ministers, businesses people as well as an Icelandic fishing company, Samherji.
