An exhibition aimed at engaging the youth on post-colonialism, present and future is currently underway at the Independence Memorial Museum in Windhoek. Viewers are taken through a technology experience of post-colonialism which include soundscapes, sharing of indigenous knowledge as well as a photo booth to take them right back into the past. Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) professor Heike Winschiers Theophilus says the exhibition aims to explore new ways to engage young people into museum activities and for the museums to start embracing contemporary digital heritage. A group of 10 young people born after independence known as born-frees in collaboration with students from Technology Interaction Design at NUST organised the exhibition. The exhibition that started on Monday will be on display at the Independence Memorial Museum for two weeks from 13h00 to 17h00.
