A family of 26 was left destitute after their entire Mahangu harvest was engulfed by flames at Omundudu village in the Ohangwena Region. It is alleged that the fire started at a nearby cuca shop as a woman was preparing food for her kapana business and embers blew to the threshing floor ‘Olupale” where the grain was stored.
