Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation, Dr Sam Nujoma paid a courtesy call to Omukwaniilwa gwaNdonga, Fillemon Nangolo Shuumbwa at his Palace in the Oshana Region today. The two had a a closed-door meeting. This is the Founding President’s first visit since the installation of Shuumbwa as the 18th Omukwaniilwa gwaNdonga, on 29 June this year. Shuumbwa succeeded the late Omukwaniilwa Immanuel Kauluma Elifas who died in March this year. Founding President did not say much other than informing Omukwaniilwa that he is ready to defend the Ondonga palace. Omukwaniilwa Shuumbwa commended Nujoma for his visit saying it signifies the importance the Founding President attached to cultural diversity. He says he is ready to lead the Ondonga community and unite them.
