The organisers of the Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMA) announced the line up of performers for this years’ award show. In line with its slogan ‘Celebrating Excellence’ the committee released 34 of the best the country can offer to entertain the nation on 7 September at The Dome in Swakopmund. A spectacular mix of gender, as well as old and new musicians, form part of the lineup. The committee stated that 82% of the entertainers of this year will be new artists and the line up mostly constitutes artists who are nominated. About 64 artists have been nominated from which only 24 will be crowned in their respective category as the best in that genre. Some of the performers on the big day will be Kenzo and Fimbiko, Gazza, Liz Ehlers, ‘Young Wild and Free’ hitmaker Sunny Boy, Top Cheri, Lady May Africa and Nam Gospel United.
