President Hage Geingob has appointed Euclides Joseph Mumbone Mukendwa as Commissioner of the National Youth Service, Mukendwa replaces Onesmus Upindi. A statement from the presidency said the appointment is effective from 1 October. The statement said Mukendwa has vast experience, having served previously in several managerial positions including as a Regional Director of the Allan Gray and Orbis Foundation. He held this position prior to this appointment. President Geingob has expressed confidence in Mukendwa, saying he is capable to execute his duties and responsibilities successfully. Mukendwa holds a Bachelor of Accounting Degree from the University of Namibia and a Master of Business Administration from Namibia University of Science and Technology.
