Most parts of the north central regions have received good rains over the past two days. The rains have filled up many oshanas, which have been dry for months. Water was seen running in a number of oshanas in Ongwediva in the Oshana Region. Hundreds of cattle and small stock died during the dry spell that has been experienced during the prolonged drought and according to the meteorological services, Namibia is likely to receive good rainfalls this season.
