The Government has carried out a massive vaccination campaign of chickens, ducks and ostriches after the deadly Newcastle disease spread to three other regions in northern Namibia. The disease was initially detected in the Omusati region three months ago and Government has since banned trading in poultry and poultry products such as feathers.
