The Junior Secondary Certificate (JSC) Grade 10 and National Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC) Grade 12 Higher Level results for both part-time and full-time candidates will be released on 20 December 2018. This was announced in a media statement by the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture on Thursday. It explained that the ministry has made considerable progress in marking and processing examination data and the results will be ready by the stipulated date. There has been an increase of 5,2% in the number of full-time and part-time candidates who sat for Grade 10 examinations, while those who sat for Grade 12 Higher Level also increased by 10,3% compared to 2017, it said. A total of 56 112 candidates sat for the JSC examinations, comprising 44 890 full-time and 11 222 part-time candidates, marking an increase of 2 784 candidates compared to 2017. A total of 17 968 candidates wrote the NSSC Higher Level examinations, with 16 932 of these being full-time candidates while the remaining 1 036 were part-time candidates, marking an increase of 1 672 candidates compared to the last sitting. The results will be available on the website of the Directorate of National Examinations and Assessments as well as that of the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture. An SMS service will be made available to access the results, it further announced. Regional education directorates across the country will also provide results in broadsheets format during office hours. NSSC Grade 12 Ordinary Level results will be made available in January 2019.
