In Namibia cancer case have increased from 1 625 in 2006 to 3 092 in 2012 and the leading cases were for breast cancer. In a speech read on her behalf, gynaecologist Dr Fatima Suleiman says nearly one in six deaths occur due to cancer. Cancer is one of the leading causes of deaths worldwide with about 14 million new cases recorded in 2012.
