About 70 landless residents at Henties Bay were prevented from holding a demonstration to demand land at the town. These residents are among the 600 staying in !Goas, a settlement with hundreds of shacks. These residents say they have been staying there since independence but some have managed to get erven and houses allocated to them in other formal residential areas.
