The mass Independence Day celebrations which were scheduled for 21 March have been cancelled. President Hage Geingob made the announcement as part of the precautionary measures against the Coronavirus. The Ministry of Health confirmed two cases this morning, after a Spanish couple, who arrived in Namibia as tourists, tested positive for the virus.
